Barndominiums on the other hand are typically made of metal and can have incredible vaulted ceiling heights of 14 feet or more. So, they are as different as night and day — on the outside. Basically, a barndominium is a combination of a barn and condominium. While a conventional house is typically made of wood or brick, has a deep foundation, and has restrictions on ceiling height, a barndominium is made of metal, doesn't require a foundation, and has vaulted ceilings. The labor costs will vary broadly based on the design, but generally speaking a barndominium will be less expensive to construct than a regular house. This is due in part to the way most barndominiums are constructed.

When building a barndominium you have several options for windows. Standard white vinyl windows, black vinyl windows, or painted black exterior with white interior windows. Aluminum clad windows, fully aluminum windows. Single hung windows, double hung windows, fixed windows. Barndo homes can have them all. And I want to take a second to show you some upgrade features about Windows. We get asked every single day about going to black windows. So there's a couple options there. Our standard is a white vinyl window, but you can upgrade to what we call our Oreo windows, which are black painted exterior, but they're still white on the inside. And then you can also go to a full black window. But here is what one of the Oreo windows look like. So the outside's completely black. It's got a nice contrast, it is a beautiful window, but there is an upgrade associated to these type of windows. If you want to do an upgrade to a black window, talk to your sales associate, they can help you figure out what those costs are. And if you want to see kind of the difference between this and an all-black window, you're welcome to kind of look at them. But that these are the most common because they're black exterior and they're white on the interior, so they don't have to contrast the inside of the home. Stained Concrete Course: 🤍 In this video Im going to show you how we ground, stained and sealed a concrete floor for a barn. First we had to grind the concrete to remove the clear sealer that was on the floor. Once the concrete was cleaned, we applied our acetone dye concrete stain to the entire floor. Then we sealed the concrete with Westcoat Water-based Clear Epoxy.
